About/ Who am I

Coming to graphic design after deciding to retrain 4 years ago I have just completed a year working for Feelfit.com as their in-house designer. I am passionate about the industry and take a keen interest in all aspects of design. I am now looking to able my conceptual skills, extensive web development skills and my design experience to a wide variety of brands and products.

Expertise/ What I do

Graphic Design

Graphic design to me is understanding my environment through microscopic observation. I find that listening and keeping a open mind allows me to translate ideas into a clear visual communication.

Digital Design

My background in web development has enabled me to excel in this area. Using information design principles documented by the likes of Edward Tufte through to the basic design checklist that includes neat and easy navigation, optimum download speeds and cross-browser compatibility, etc. But like in all design it's a balancing act.

Web Development

My specialities in this field are predominately HTML, CSS and Flash. However I am also comfortable using PHP, Actionscript and to a lesser extent Javascript. I have built numerous websites, HTML e-mails and Flash banners for a wide range of blue chip companies.
